Welcome from Anne Marlowe Conrad

Hi, I'm Anne Marlowe Conrad a published author, outdoor writer, and enthusiastic random historical fact chaser.
I have logged over 26 years of writing
experience making complex subjects understandable, friendly, and readable to
the average human.
My work spans outdoor storytelling, conservation, heritage travel and
history, and technical writing, I love connecting the past to the present and
can't seem to get past a historical marker without stopping on the side of the
road to look.
The common thread is story-driven
explanatory writing: I create a strong sense of place, focus on the human story
behind products, industries, and destinations, and I make sure readers
understand why any of it matters today.
My work appears in NRA Shooting Illustrated, NRA Women, American
Outdoor News, Firearms News, Florida Sportsman, and Wired2Fish.com. I also
write monthly technical content for Leviton Insider and Contractor Connect, and
provide business and technical writing services for electrical, construction,
and technology companies.
In 2011 I authored Cañon City, published by Arcadia Publishing as part
of the Images of America series which documents the fascinating history
of Cañon City, Colorado.
Annually, I attend SHOT Show and ICAST keeping current on the
conversations, trends, and products that shape the outdoor, sporting, and
conservation industries.
When I'm not writing, you'll find my husband Bo and me exploring new
places, digging up historical tidbits, all while searching for the perfect
glass of wine to enjoy with it all.
